Looking somewhat iPod-ish - what doesn’t these days? - but with a much nicer looking 2.4in screen the Toshiba Gigabeat S is on the Giz shopping list. With more features than a thing with loads of features, the 30Gb Gigabeat S looks the business. But is it any good? It’s smaller the older Gigabeat and comes with a new version of Microsoft’s Portable Media Center (PMC) software which can support WMA Lossless, MP3, DivX and MP3 while video formats like AVI, Mpeg-4 and MOV are displayed via Windows Media Player. At about £170 it is also 25 per cent cheaper than its bulkier predecessor....
